Shohonzan Tennen Toishi with Base
Hard Japanese natural stone mined near Kyoto, this stone is particularly hard and best suited to honing razors. The naturally occurring silica particles in these stones fracture whilst sharpening allowing you to create an edge with a variety of different sized striations for longer lasting sharpness and increased toothiness. We recommend honing on synthetic stones first up to a fine grit. Best used in conjunction with a natural nagura.
