Hitohira Tanaka Kyuzo Aogami-1 Kiritsuke Gyuto 240mm Yakusugi Cedar Handle
Hammer forged by master bladesmith Yoshikazu Tanaka and hand sharpened by expert Kyuzo. This blade is forged from Aogami-1 prized for its high hardness, fine grain structure, and superior wear resistance. The knife has an excellent wide bevel grind and is extremely thin behind the edge for fine and precise cutting.
The spine and choil have been rounded and polished giving this series a luxurious feeling in the hand. The octagonal handle is made from rare cedar wood felled at Yakushima island, a world heritage site off the coast of mainland Japan.
