MUNEISHI KUROUCHI AOGAMI STAINLESS CLAD FUNAYUKI ROSEWOOD HANDLE
Muneishi Knives were established in 1955 in Tosayamada-machi, Kochi Prefecture. Hirotaka Muneishi began to help out in forges from the 4th grade and inherited the company at the age of 18, there he makes use of his advanced skills and knowledge and is one of only a handful of craftsmen who can make hatchets and sickles in addition to knives. He was recognized as a Tosa traditional craftsman in 2012. This rustic Kurouchi series is stainless clad utilizing Aogami 2 for the core making it easy to maintain whilst having superior edge retention. This collection is quite deep so there is a significant amount of knuckle clearance from the cutting surface.
Care must be taken to wipe and dry this series and a light coating of oil will help to protect the reactive cladding from oxidizing.
