KICHIJI x NAGURI SLD NASHIJI SANTOKU 165MM NAGURI CURVED WENGE WOOD HANDLE
Tadafusa (Blade) x Kaneko Sogyo (Handle) x Muranokajiya (Produce)
Blade, Handle and outer box are all made in Sanjo city, Niigata, Japan.
-The knives are made by combining local techniques and craftsmanship from three companies in Sanjo to create a massive, dignified piece of work.
-SLD steel is a type of tool steel renowned for being able to take a super fine edge and hold it well due to its alloying and hardness. Ideal for users looking for a knife that sharpens easily like carbon steel but has some stain resistance. The blade surface has a matte satin(Nashiji) finish, which prevents fine foodstuffs from sticking to it.
-Naguri finish, a traditional technique used in Japanese architecture since ancient times, is applied to the handle. The unique unevenness of the handle fits gently in your hand, making it not only visually appealing but also practical. The handle is made of wengewood, which is highly durable, and its beautiful grain and blackish-brown colour give it a sense of dignity.
