Kichiji Shirogami #1 Mizu-Honyaki Sakimaru Takohiki Knife 330mm

Hammer forged from single piece of shirogami No1 with mirror finished and Nami-Bokasi / Hamon on both side, Mizu- Honyaki (water quenched steel) made by master craftsmen GENKAI MASAKUNI  in Sakai city Osaka renowned for producing single bevel cutlery. The Handle is made from Ichi wood / Japanese Yew with a Buffalo horn ferrule. Takohiki is the Kanto style Sashimi knife used for almost all the same preparation as a Yanagiba in Kansai style.
