Kichiji VG-1 Wa-Gyuto Octagonal Magnolia Handle 270mm with Saya
The Kichiji WA series is produced for Kataba by a small workshop based in Sakai City; the craftsmen have focused on producing a tough and easy to sharpen chef's knife to meet the demands of cooks looking for workhorse knives.
VG-1 steel was chosen for its ability to take a razor-sharp edge and hold it without being too brittle, it is also fully stainless making it easy to care for. The blade is ground asymmetrically and has a 90/10 edge out of the box. The Octagonal handle is made from Magnolia wood with a Buffalo horn ferrule.
